practice them, get them down to where you can do them without looking at them, and then start picking the notes one at a time. upstroke downstroke and so on. this will help alot in the future

its not meant to excite you its meant to instruct you on the basics of guitar... which it does quite well in my opinion. why don't you explain why you thought this video was difficult to learn from rather than dismissing it as terrible. most people found this useful so therefore learnt from it but obviously its too advanced for you and you need a tutorial even more basic than this.

i was wondering if you had some advice, i used to play the guitar when i was younger, and got pretty good at it. many years later i wanted to learn again, but my fingers are rather big, like the tips of my fingers can barely touch just one string. another problem, is when i try to position a chord i have trouble keeping my hand from stifling the strings.
any tips? because i would be very sad faced if i'm fated to play bass guitar :'(
