That's so what's up. I bought some EMG 81s myself, and I chose to install one of them in the rhythm slot for my MG-145s. I ended up taking it to some wack job, and he permanently fucked up my sustainer. It's not as strong as it once was, and my knobs are fucked as well. I really wish I could do something about it, but it seems everyone is brain dead about sustainers.

Hmm, that's just odd. My mg-145s bridge pickup would still function without the battery. When my battery died, the neck pick up (sustainer) would not make sound but bridge pick up would still play.
I love the designated battery slot because if some day I would rather use an EMG 81 pick up, it would be easy for installation.
I like hide MG-450X setup with DiMarzio DP-101 neck and EMG81 bridge. The one he is holding in the video.

That's strange. Because my guitar is active, and without it, the guitar cannot play. I've taken my guitar apart so many times, and taken it to so many people, telling me they are active. They gotta be. XD I have a sustainer, but no overdrive. Some models only have an overdrive, and no sustainer. But there is no way, unless it was custom, that an MG-145s, Yellow heart model, is passive. If anything, that'd be awesome, soI wouldn't have to use a battery.

@Kamiaki Correction... Pickups are PASSIVE... and there is NO overdrive switch.
There are sustainer switches indeed. The battery slot on the back is NOT for active pickups; it is for the sustainer to function~!!
I have MG-145S too, but in cherry sunburst color :)

BTW, i am SELLING it, PM me if anyone is interested. Less than 1 year old, brand new bought from japan.

I have a Burny MG-145s. The Yellow one with the red hearts. It's really an awesome guitar! But yeah, it has 24 frets. The big difference between the BC Rich guitars and the Burny one is that thise hide signature models have overdrive and sustainer switches, and a kill switch. The pickups are active, too. They're really cool. =D
