The skull routes are also a bit harder in Crash 2.

I always thought the music in general was better in Crash 2. It was less obtrusive, but still very pleasant when you noticed it. In Crash 3 it was loud enough (myself being too lazy to turn it down) that I noticed when it looped which wasn't nearly as cool. Good music in both games, but I find I prefer crash 2.

whenever i used to do any of the skull routes i used to go too fast and mess up cause how fast the music was...haha!

Yeah, the ones in CB3 had the same skull route music, but using different instruments in the music relating to the environment of the levels like the Egyptian, Arabian, Future, and the Stone Age themes. by the way, those levels were awsome lol

the skull route musics in crash 2 are somehow better than those of crash 3.

i remember this is the one where when you ran into those bee hives you dig into the ground and then you could move around under the ground. then you had to jump up when u ran into a hole, lol good times.
