my point of view is that its kinda ironic. he refers to ppl that prefer to shut out from the reality&thruth of how "bad" somethings are but do nothing about it, to change it. "safe and ignorent" when u r ignorant u actually are emotionaly safe and to be called an ignorent its never a good thing. i think he looks down on to the "person" he talks about. and i think is mostly political.
