Panzergrenadiere are mechanized infantry. Originally Grenadiere were soldiers with grenades. Because only the tallest and strongest were picked, it later became a name for elitie units. Panzer means tank, armour, or armoured car. However, mechanized infantry would be the best although not literal translation for panzergrenadiere.

it depends, the literal translation is armored infantry, but the English equivalent is mechanized infantry, so i guess its right either way.

as for yugoslavia, that was not a mistake, heh, Croatia was at nice influence of mussolini, german'y allies, and a lot of german army passed trough Cro for parades and GMM, they were allied with those who were enough disciplined and had enogh army

german mistakes during ww2
1. only planned on a short war
2. failed to defeat the RAF and invade britain
3.invaded yugoslavia and greece, thus postponing barbarossa
4. invading russia
5.declaring war on america( there was no need to)
