hey bud, before you talk maybe you should do a little research. the m16 is and was a good weapon. the main issue in vietnam was that there weren't enough cleaning kits issued with it. also problems with the chamber/barrel chrome and magazine springs failing. and where did you get your KIA facts from? the rifle is sound, but your opinion isn't.

yeah but you cant rely on it in tough situations, your life is on the line accuracy doesnt matter. the AR-15 is only accurate out to 300-500 yds, the high ROF does mean anything the highes the ROF the harder it is to control and ur probly going to have it on semi any ways
