why do we fight and argue over jimi? and why must we include god? whether you believe in god or not. jimi was great, he was either a miraculous child of god or an evolution made one in a million musical genius, take your pick but there is no doubting he was a miracle

@Yarg888 Correct. None of us should have the power to take that away. The ability to speak your thoughts doesn't make you correct. People think that because they have the right to say what they choose, that they have the right not to be challenged on it. If that was the case, there would be no legitimate dialogue and everyone would carry on in ignorance. More importantly, you have to decide which is more freeing. The right to do what the fuck you want or the right to pursue truth.

@onlyjoetee It's a figure of fucking speech that people sometimes use to emphasize and communicate their own admiration for a person. It has little to do with any literal denotative meaning of 'God'. Although, I am certain that Jimi's music was likely to have pleased God greatly.

We share in our knowledge that Jimi was an excellent musician, but hallucinogens had very little to do with his musicianship. Might they have informed his perception of the world. Likely, but that has very little to do with his musical excellence.
