@fbmbmx743 .....Yes there is a lot of money...but i advise you that is worth every cent!...try taking some classes first to see if you like the extreme sport, then ask around and do some research online..there are great sites where you can get good pricing. Good luck and welcome to kiteboarding!

Hey bru;
Listen the brand you want to start with is best kiteboarding. It is the cheapest, their 2010 spark board is awesome, and costs 400 us dollars, a used kite sold by the same guys should cost you anywhere around 500 dollars. If you want to get involved by a bow kite or SLE kite, I do not recommend that you buy a C-kite. I preferr them but they are more for pro performance. harness shoulcd cost you anywhere from 80 dollars to 220 dollars. Lessons should cost no more than 200 dollars.
