Maisky puts so much emotion into this piece. I think this is one of his best performances, and so far my favorite interpretation of the Sarabande. I love this piece. Bach was such a genius.

There were not many markings for dynamics in Bach's time, I would not be so sure of yourself.

Ingmar Bergman would have loved Maisky's interpretation. I like the way I.B. used this in his film Through a Glass Darkly. I think this piece was also used in Tarkovsky's Solaris.
