Early 80s funky soul from Search -- a group that was spearhead by LesPaul Roque, fresh from his stint with Kool&The Gang -- and a greatlittle set that works in a similar jazzy funk&soul groove! Searchhas kind of a smaller combo approach to the sound, with funky bass andkeyboards at the forefront, which goes from a groove inspired by primeKool&The Gang, to more a late 70s P-Funky vibe, other tunes withjazzier interplay and a mellower tune or two. The tunes have soulfulvocals, and as far as we know this is the one and only album the groupcut -- and it's a nice one!

This bassline is great . Such a great FEEL . You can't LEARN to play like this . Even if someone copies all the notes and techniques EXACTLY .
