he can play central, but he was never a better center midfielder than Roy Keane or Paul Scholes so therefore Becks played on the right... and he did have some pace he only got really slow in the last 4/5 years

mate im englishand i know that! but ive always thought he's been more effective in the middle of the park. he never had the pace to be a winger. in his last season at real and his loan at a.c. milan he's bossed central midfield.
