Asians Just Aren't Cool Enough?


A lot of people requested that I talk about this topic, so I decided to take some time out of my college life and give my thoughts on it. So if I draw a picture of an aborigine complete with traditional garb, if I give him an American name that makes it a picture of an American?That makes no sense.

The majority of early anime depicted people with obviously caucasian features. Even if you give them Japanese names, they didn't look like Japanese people.

There's nothing wrong or evil or sinister about that, it's just kind of weird.

Watch Red Garden or Baccano! the plot is in the States and we are talking about anime with white characters and yet their eyes are so small compared with Goku's..so it's just silly for all of the people in USA to say that Goku or Usagi or whatever are white..I mean they have asian names.

That doesn't mean anything. If they are using Japanese names and the plot is in Japan, no matter if the person is blond or whatever it's still Japanese. I mean there are lots of blue, green etc haired characters but I don't think that they are from Mars, if you see my point.
