He wasn't ashamed of his race guys; That's not at all why he changed his skin color. He had a skin disease called vitiligo. Look it up, it gives the person who has it splotches of white/pink on their skin. It often starts on the persons hands --Guess where the white glove came from? There are also pictures of him with spots on his neck. Anyway, it was not easy to deal with so he just got rid of the pigment altogether. Just thought I'd clarify that for you guys.
