Not trying to justify God's decision to send the plagues, I'm just kind of typing my thoughts.

You don't attack a kingdom by going just after the king, but by going after the people. I mean, if he just did things to pharaoh, it probably wouldn't have as big an impact. Think of how many types the Egyptians probably pleaded with Pharaoh to just give in so the torment would stop. I think they would at least.

To everyone arguing in this silly religion thing, your points mean nothing, your argumrnt is flawed. This story is set in the old testament, which is COMPLETELY different from the modern day interpritation of the bible.

Just enjoy the awswome movie and stop making argument out of Ancient jewish parchment.

Jealousy in God's case is more in the vein of, I think, wanting His people for Himself, not wanting to share them with false "gods". Envy is something completely different. To me, wrath is a feeling that is provoked and brought upon a perpetrator of some crime or offense.

I think the Egyptians can be held accountable because none saw the wrong in the slavery of the Israelites and protested to Pharoah. Egypt was an egalitarian society so cases might have been made but weren't...They were also at fault because they worshiped false gods. I can't claim to know what God was thinking throughout history and I don't believe we can rationalize what He does by our own rationale.A tough way of looking at it is that the children of Egypt were spared growing up pagans.
