I would agree that freedom of speech shouldn't be used to incite violence or hatred, but I also think that freedom of speech shouldn't be used to give a vivid description of a hemorrhoid. Does this mean I think we should put restrictions on discussing hemorrhoids? No, just that I personally would not, and would avoid finding myself in the company of those who do.
Quelling violence is clearly the obligation of law enforcement; quelling violent or hateful speech is not.

People take things too seriously and complain about comments made by people who don't take things seriously enough.
What point does it make?...Everyone wants to be heard, but no one can hear if everyone is speaking at once. At what point will common sense tell us to exercise our ability to listen more than our right to speak?
