Red Dead Revolver [v2] - 07. Freak Show


After being freed from the cage by Red, Jack went after professor Perry and his circus freaks.He arrives at Widows's Patch at night, where he finds Katie O'Grady tied up to the watertower and the town otherwise silent.This chapter can be quite tricky.
First up, you'll be fighting "The Blade" Slade alone. He tends to run and climb and jump around, making it difficult for you to shoot him. Also, remember Fawler and his knives from chapter 5? Slade also throws knives, and he has a special move where he throws 5 knives and usually they all hit you. He's not difficult to beat though, he just might stun you easily.
When Slade's health is halfway down, Lightning LaRouche appears. He's piss easy, even Slade's tougher than him.
After both of those guys are dead, you meet Professor Perry himself.
During the fight he'll be jumping around the whole level (some call it teleporting) and he'll even regenerate health after you have shot him up a bit a couple of times.
The key to beating him is NOT trying to find out where he'll appear next. He has an obvious pattern, but I used to be stupid enough to follow it. When you hear Katie telling you Perry's location, DO NOT start shooting him immediately. If you do, Perry will just jump to a different location immediately, and you wont get any shots in as he doesn't get hurt when that green mist surrounds him. The way to beat him fast is rather easy: shoot everyoneelse, and when you hear that Perry isn't jumping around anymore, then he's running around the level like any normal enemy. You just have to give him a chance to breath.
If you want to buy some time to shoot him, get close to him. He'll do his special melee attack, which is spitting snake oil aroundhim. Just like in Showdown, though, the move is completely useless. Just back away and keep shooting him until his spitting animation ends.
Also note that during the last sequence after Perry has run out of snake oil, his boys are more dangerous than him. If you don't keep shooting the damn clowns,you might get killed fast.

Perry's story is interesting, he was a salesman who sold a special "potion" to people. The potion was actually snake oil, the green stuff he drinks all the time (and which is used as a weapon, too). He himself has become immune to it after drinking it so much, but to anyone else it's poison. He took over the circus after the previous owner died.

"Blade" Slade was supposed to be fired after "losing" too many assistants during his act, but then Perry took over and let Slade stay.
