bella's totally out of control side ~ and our new foster

. . . the beautiful, courageous LuiLanabella can sense someone coming to visit her long before they arrive. her (lack of) greeting skills are off the wall, but actually improved as our visitors at least are walking around smaller pools of happy pee, and sometimes none at all. with her history of such fear and submission, i have beenpretty much letting her fly with the unabashed screaming bliss. esp now, adjusting to a new dog in the house who gets offered food and love around the clock.

bellas huge fan club (we live in a building of 175 apts) have a very sweet concern for LuiLana, and we find bags of meat on the doorknob throughout each day from so many people that want so much for her to make it. not to mention the bids for adoption. and dogsitting offers. it is so difficult for Lui to learn to eat but she has been amazingly gracious and loving to all of us, this video is one of her more successful efforts to keep holding on.

unfortunately her energy keeps dipping extermely low and tonight the dreaded lab results came in showing very advanced renal failure which explains her rejecting food, her diarrhea, vomiting, confusion, lethargy, tremors and severe weakness. she is filled with toxins. we were assuming and hoping she merely had malnourishment.

it feels inhumane to ask her her to continue if we have the option of letting her go in dignity and peace. tomorrow we will release her to a better place forever.

may her journey be easy.

(i had no idea her stay would be so short. i was assuming this video was the beginning of documenting her healing, not the end as well. i wish i had more footage of her beautiful loving exchanges with all the people she gave so much to in only the 4 days she stayed with me. even in her final days she was like an angel, bringing out the best in everyone she met.)
